Invoicing via your account

Each Account contains an Invoice tab. In here you find everything related to book keeping and invoicing for the work you have completed via the system.
For work with Extended hours / improved access hubs, the invoices are generated automatically for you each month and the data passed to their finance dept at the beginning of the new month.
They then pay you as per your contractual agreement with the service.
When you work for a practice directly via the system, you can manually generate invoices for the shifts you have completed and send them to the employer(s).
In all cases, the invoices are found in your Invoice history in your account and can be viewed / printed
You can also revoke and edit/resend invoices, see when an employer has paid your invoice and mark it as received your end.
You can also down your invoice data for use in a book keeping app
With regard to pension data:
When you work for Extended hours / improved access hubs the pension calcs are also competed for you as part of the auto generation. When you generate an invoice manually the pension calcs are included in the invoice payment Calculation.
Note:
You must set your Pension tier in your account Profile
At this time the locum A form is not currently generated
This will be something we add to your account quite soon, we hope

How to be invisible

There are 3 aspects which determine how employers see you
1. Your availability
if you have no availability in your Schedule then practices will not see you in their availability calendar
https://gpnetworks.co.uk/schedule
2. Your visibility
If you have no visibility connections to practices, practices would not see you even if you had availability
https://gpnetworks.co.uk/connections/manage_practice_visibility
3. Hub connections (Connect from the Hub Work screen)
If you have Hub connections then you can have custom visibility and availability to Hubs, distinct from that which practices see – Hubs can assign you if you have Hub availability

Knowing if locums respond to requests

Locums that respond/do not respond
Every locum has a statistic called their response rate, which measures how well they respond to requests from employers
To see this, simply click the practitioner name in the Availability screen to view their Profile then choose View Profile and you will see a screen containing lots of info about the practitioner including the professional documents, skills and response rate.

Rules of Engagement – the logic of your Schedule

As a freelancer, you need to be able to work across a number of different types of employer.
As a locum with a GPnetworks account, you need your account to be able to handle the complexity of working for Hub banks, either in-hours or extended hours or out of hours and working for practices.
 —
The Gpnetworks system handles all of this and creates a single unified Schedule for you of all your activity.
 —

Naturally the rules behind this are quite complex – but here is some insight into them.

— — —

Interaction with Practices

1. When a Practitioner does anything in their Schedule (accept, cancel, decline)   it gives them the option to choose whether to stay available for that session or not with a checkbox.

2. When a surgery confirms, the Practitioner is set unavailable for that session and  any other requests will be declined automatically  and notifications sent out.

3. When a surgery cancels an accepted OR confirmed session, it automatically sets the GP as available again.

Hub Assignments

1. Assignments will only be made if a GP has no accepted or confirmed, or assigned requests existing for that session in their Schedule.

2. When an assignment is made, any conflicting requests will be auto declined  (this will only consist of new requests the GP has not responded to yet, since assignment can’t be made for any accepted / confirmed)

Staff account professional documents

Staff user accounts store many of their important professional documents and certificates within their Profiles. Hub admin managers can view these any time by visiting a staff Profile and practices can view these by clicking staff user name in their staff availability calendar and schedule.

As well as this, when a staff user is booked for locum cover via the system, the conformation email will contain links to the their professional documents, for the practice to download – these links expire after a short period.

Near the foot of the Confirmation email, they will see something like this:
